FP4 is my favorite for negatives. For B&W slides I use Fomapan R100, because ISO 50 is a bit too slow in our, often rainy and cloudy climate.

Edit: TMY2 is my favorite film emulsion. But I only use polyester base roll film (35mm and 120) for archival purposes. At present that is Rollei Superpan.

Wow this thread is so long-running that I wonder if anyone listed Daguerrotype yet. But at the present, my vote would go to TMY400 for sheet film, and TMX100 in roll film formats.

I have to say I really love Eastman 5222 (Double-X) it is a shame that Kodak does not sell bulk 35mm to consumers anymore...

The film is still available, AFAIK, from Cinestill. They don't sell bulk rolls, to my knowledge, and their prices may be higher than you like -- but the film is there to be had. Also in 120.

Monopoly isn't really a market though. And Cinestill doesn't have a world-wide reach, and US isn't the World.
Nice film it was indeed. Past tense intentional.

CineStill is the worldwide distributor for Kodak branded photo chemicals, so at least part of their expanding operation is in a lot of the world.

I've been shooting a lot of Fomapan in bulk rolls over the last 15 years. I live in the land of the sun, so iso 100 is fine by me, and I actually like the old school look of Foma -- the grain, the contrast.
