What happened to small stops?

This is the 35mm forum boys! Most 35mm camera lenses don't go beyond f22 except for some macro lenses and a few telephotos. So lets try and keep this on track, ok.
APUG does not revolve around 35mm alone.

Drab sad days and have slow film (KR64) and being uninspired. I need spring, and some holidays at a different place
If you could only use one f-stop for an entire year what would you choose? Are you going to go for the wide open selective focus look or maybe just the staple f 8 and be there or maybe closed right down to get lots of dof.
Me, if I had to choose one f-stop for an entire year I would choose one that would make me stretch a bit in the way I create images, not my usual mode of picking the f-stop to get what I want in focus and what I don't want out of focus.
I think I would choose wide open which on my current crop of lenses is f2. Maybe the look has been beat to death, but I think it would be fun.
Remember this is the 35mm Camera and Accessories forum. What you would do in MF and LF doesn't count here. To bad so sad. So there.
Oops, should not be 4.5, should be 4, oh well can't edit polls.
