A Nikon FE is a nice addtion (so is an FM2) - specifically the FE is small has nice controls, meter readout, viewfinder, and handling. AND can pretty much use any lens since the beginning of time (G lenses excepted but you have an F5 for that). Can be had for a song - I just picked up a MINT condition FE for $94 with a databack that I will not use. Awesome. the FE is very much like a small F3 in terms of handling and use but the meter readout is actually WAY more useful.

You can still buy a low end manual 35mm or a very expensive high end camera but I was just wondering if you could have a new midrange camera what would you want.
I would like to have a Nikon with the best features of the N75, and N80. These cameras had great auto-focusing and metering. I have two each of the N75 and N80 bodies and an F5 so I and pretty well stocked up but would like to see an affordable midrange 35mm.

I would like to have something like an EOS3, maybe a little less noisy, with the ability to imprint a serial number on the film leader and store exposure data and time for every shot on a SD card.
