I came across a negative carrier from Beseler recently that appears to be for 6x9 negatives. But I don't recognize the part number stamped into the metal, and it doesn't show up in any Beseler catalogues or user manuals that I have checked. Has anyone ever heard of a #7710 negative carrier, and know how it differs from the #8072 or #8074 negative carriers?

I don't know the specific part numbers, but Beseler made 2 different 6x9 holders. One for 120 roll film and one for 6x9 (2.25 x 3.25) sheet film. One had a very slightly larger opening, but I forget which one.

That most excellent page lists only carriers for Beseler's 4x5 enlargers. The OP mentioned the 8072 and 8074 carriers so he or she may well be referring to carriers for the Beseler 23C. I used to use an 8072 with my 23C before I moved up to 4x5 and replaced that lovely system with a 45MXII.

This web page (same site) has a lot of 23C info but doesn't mention the OP's particular part number:

BTW, the only difference between the 8072 and 8074, as far as I'm aware, is that the 8072 uses anti-Newton-rings glass in the top position. But there could certainly be a small size difference as pointed out by mgb74.

Bingo! Orenteen's website is the first place I checked (to no avail.) I even emailed Beseler but have yet to receive a response :-/

Google of 'Beseler 7710' exact wording, using advanced Google comes up with an eBay ad that lists:
"Beseler 7710 6x9cm 2-1-4 X 3-1-4 Glass Negative Carrier 23c Enlargers"

Oddly, examination of user manuals by Beseler for the 23C, 23C-II, and 23C-III show NO negative carriers with a 77nn designation for the various generations of enlargers.

That's what I was looking at. I'm thinking about buying it, but I don't recognize the part number so I was holding off.
