Hey guys, been a fun summer so far. We threw out a few ideas at the last meet up and ill rehash them here:
Central Park
Fort Tyrone Park Cloisters
Coney Island again haha (maybe we can start from brighton beach this time)
A few more that I looked into:
Staten Island Ship Graveyard (may be breaking and entering/ tough in summer foliage) http://www.forgotten-ny.com/YOU'D NEVER BELIEVE/rossville/rossville.html
(note: the link lists of other cool sites, Ive been to seaview hospital a few years ago, place is awesome, but hard to find your way in the summer)
Bronx Zoo (suggested donation weds)
Roosevelt Island (tram ride, and a few old buildings, check google)
Let me add DUMBO to the list. Steve and I talked about it at the Battery Park City meetup.
Also, I've heard that there's an old smallpox hospital on roosevelt island which has just re-opened to the public that could be a lot of fun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smallpox_Hospital
My VIP access to Governor's Island was through member Fotoguy20d. Maybe he'd be willing to help us out again...
