If you could spend a day with your camera in any location worldwide, where would it be and what would you hope to capture? I would like to go to Cadiz and just wonder around.

I would go to the Holy Land and walk where Jesus walked, and shoot mucho film. Then stop in Italy and visit my relatives before returning home.

Paris, France not the one in Texas  Just wander from cafe to cafe taking photos and soaking up the light.
Barcelona would be second choice mainly because of Gaudi's work.

Boston and the environs. Historical buildings, ethnic people and their activities, historical sites.

My other alternative would be Yorkshire England... for basically the same kinds of things.

Cuba.

I'm assuming this one day will have perfect shooting situations where the light is great and subjects available and approachable?

I'd like to photograph wildlife that is difficult/expensive to get to and may not be around/accessible in the not-so-distant future: gorillas in rwanda/uganda, polar bears in the arctic, or penguins in antarctica (just to name a few).

Never been to the Grand Canyon, heard great things. Maybe an abandoned town wd be good too

To New Orleans, LA., where I am going on 4 August, for a month of wandering around. Definitely one of America's great cities, the others (OBVIOUSLY) being - in no particular order - New York, Boston, San Francisco and Chicago. A place I have never tired of visiting. In anticipation of the trip, during which I will be shooting 35mm and 2 1/4, I have already started to build my stash (from B&H Photo, NYC - where else) of E100G, E100VS (both formats), PanF Plus (2 1/4), Tri-X and Delta 3200 (35mm). A couple more hits to the Amex over the course of the next three or four months and I should be good to go!

In a doorless helicopter over Victoria Falls. Failing that unrealistic dream, Lima Peru.

I recently came back from Cuba. I was there for only one week and managed only a few really crappy pictures but I will go back and hopefully for a longer time.

Cuba is a world caught in some sort of time machine and a photographer's paradise.

If i had the option and the funds i would definitely choose Egypt & Italy.. If time travel were possible i would choose the Victorian era but for now i guess im stuck on the streets of Chicago.

When neanderthal guys encountered modern man. I can see them smiling and shaking hands for the camera in front of a cave opening, handing over furs and flint stone gifts to each other. I guess digital was not around then, so my Nikon FM will have to do.

By the way, do colour negative handle time travel radiation well, or should I stick to slow monochrome emulsions?

Never been to India

And China and India and Barcelona and ... :whistling:

I've been to my family village in Southern China, but Barcelona is fantastic. Segrada Familia and Parc Guell is mind blowing. Stroll down the Ramblas with your camera and capture the magic. I'd like to go to India one day. Another amazing place. Indians integrate spirituality into everyday life in such colorful display. I've heard it's a land of stark contrast with incredible wealth and unbelievable poverty.

If I could do it in one day I would love to travel the blues highway and record/photograph old blues guitar/dobro players along the way.

Tried to think of some place exotic but Keep going back to where I grew up. Fort Defiance AZ.

My own house. The early morning and late afternoon light coming through various windows most of the year (not right now) never ceases to amaze me. And yes, Michael Blaine, I have "experienced" it. Now I need to photograph it.
