I can't comment about the P6 compatibility, but I will say I don't use the metered portion anymore. With most of my medium format bodies, I just use a hand held meter.

It doesn't fit. However it can be adapted using a frame from Baierfoto, although that isn't cheap.

It would have been more cost effective to buy a normal Pentacon prism. A brighter screen can be made or bought easily enough and that makes a usability difference. I'm not sure there is any benefit at all from TTL, unless you are shooting macro when it can help with exposure at high magnifications.

You'll need one of these to mount the kiev prism on the pentacon six. I've got these prisms on both my k60 and p6, they work great, don't forget to turn them off.

Did you report to PayPal / eBay?

It was an off eBay purchase, and I fear I'm in a gray area that won't help me! I tried to contact him again, with no avail! I have just sent the complaint, but, I think a negative exposed to full sunlight!

All Kiev88 viewfinders may mount onto a "Blad", but aRolleiBrujo has a Kiev60 metering prism and this one does not.

I did a self made adapter to mount a Kiev60 metering prism onto my Rolleiflex. The meter works OK, but you have to calibrate it showing the correct max stop of the viewfinder lens.

HiPaul

I thought the adapter issue was clear from posts #6 & #7?

Thanks everyone for the time and support! I guess I've made my bed so in the end I'll sleep in it! I'll just wait and save until I can afford the adapter and call it lessons learned once again! Either way I love my Pentacon Six TL and I can't wait to shoot again! Happy photography! a.rodriguezpix aka Americo.rodriguez aka aRolleiBrujo aka arodriguezpixl aka anikkorguy aka list to long must sleep now tthough it's only 2:16 AM here in California xD

There are two types of kiev meter.
The Kiev 60 meter in the OP fits on the kiev 60, and on the pentacon six via adapter I linked to earlier.
The Kiev 88 45-degree meter fits on the kiev/zenit/salyut 80/88/88cm, and the real 'blad with no modifications.
(it took a while to get my head around this at first too, until I just bought the whole lot and played with them)

Dr. Croubie, nd everyone else, Thank you for the responses, and excellent ideas, and suggestions!
Well, I sent the nonfunctional Pentacon metered prism, after filing a complaint to paypal, and having my payment on hold until it gets received by the seller. The one positive out of all of this trauma, is, that even though I bought another meter, and it turned out to be an incorrect fit, the bright side to it is, that some genius with a great mind, made an adapter for it, and as soon as I get my refund, I am so buying the adapter ASAP, because the other light in this darkness, is that this is one beautiful meter, and I am glad I got had! This black beauty is in tip top condition, and looks stunning!

Just out of curiositiy, how would I if and when the meter is working? Will it work off the camera? I have batteries, and the light goes on, however, I can't see the color, so, its either green or red, but, that is all i see? How do I know how it works?
