needed a support---usually just the ball head was able to do it but this 40 I just got is WAY front heavy---so I looked and saw a clamp lamp....inspiration...this works great.

I thought it looks like a trophy--my friend said it looks like my old imac---and now that's all I see--that old imac hemisphere computer---I still got that stored---anyway--this works REAL well for setting on objects when you dont' have room for a tripod--cramped--or for exsiting supports--very sturyd and can shoot stuff on a tabletop pointed downward

I tried to put it on my head---WAY to front heavy (same reason I needed the base)....it would want to tip forward....I doubt that lens /camera will be able to be mounted unless it's better balanced--that thing is WAY front heavy----I think it's even heavier than the 500mm lens whichis considerably longer, but mostly air

You need a sturdy chin strap, is all.. when the EMP hits, you'll have your better-than-foil hat and can keep on taking pictures while the digicams fry.

man-you guys REALLY read the photos...yes that's an enlarger/mp4 column back there---with various mp4 parts I use it also as a table--everything does dual duty--it has to--until I get my own place. Living downtown chicago is expensive and cramped. I could probably get a bigger place if I didn't spend money on photo stuff---but If I didn't spend the money on photo stuff I wouldn't need a bigger place.

see how clearly I think? I use tinfoil in all my hats...so the helmet would be redundant.

You need a motorized Blad and as mentioned a good chin strap and you could freelance for Google Maps.

Or,... Paint the reflector red an play Devo music on a big boom box.

Whip it good!
