I win, I think... (Hugo Meyer lens sold)

Wow, i just sold an old Hugo Meyer lens I had sitting around for a couple of years. I was hoping to get $150 for it, it sold for... $559! I had two people bid over 500 bucks for it! The winning bidder is in China, and his feedback shows that he's not afraid to buy lenses. I wonder, is the lens worth this much or do you think two "snipers" got caught in their game? I have no symathy, if you are wiling to bid high, you should be willing to pay high too, but has anyone else seen these things sell for this much?

Believe me, I'm a big believer in Hayek, prices tell us a lot... I guess I was wondering if this is a "real" price as opposed to some weird sniper outcome. Oh well, as long as I get paid, no worries! Not bad for something laying around the house eh?

ebay lens collectors

i've seen dshk on ebay drop serious money on lenses with regular frequency but it looks like some brave soul outbid him on this one, thats rare. I give up on an auction if i see him bidding.
