But I would have no idea how to use it, and therefor no idea if it works. Would be kinda fun to use to start color processing. Anyone have experience with these machines?

Go for it. The only downside is it probably gobbles chemistry, so you need to be running a lot through to make it work. Finding 28 inch paper for it would probably be difficult at best.

If you are serious about your printing, this unit is a absolute steal. Well made and originally 20k.
If it is in good condition, parts are still available and technicans . You may want to research that I am right about parts and service in your area, but really a good workhorse.
