I vicariously hate RC papers.

Spent the day printing on 16x20 Oriental RC Glossy. Spent the day frustrated.

I can't look nor touch the prints. I hate them. Damn this RC stuff.

Each time I touched the paper I had this strong image in my head about kissing this old lady and passing my hands through her wig. Yeah, RC paper, just like plastic hair, can't be good

I have 75 sheets left of that horrible thing. What to do?

It is good for making contacts of rolls. Cut it down to 8x10s. Especially glossy RC is ugly. The mat surface is a bit better.

I like RC - but RC glossy requires very specific types of images.

I was flipping through some matte surfaced RCs and a glossy jumped out from the middle and it looked outstanding!

The key seems to be horses for courses. I love glossy FB to death but there are certain subjects where Fomaspeed 312 is much better suited. If your subject and/or artistic style screams for glossy FB, don't waste a load of otherwise perfectly good RC paper on it. Mark the loss as "lesson learned" and toss the paper out only if you really can't think of a possible application for its appearance and tonality.

My formative photographic years were spent printing entirely on FB, washing for what seemed like aeons, faffing around with heated print dryers, trying to stop prints from curling and then struggling to get a half-decent glossy finish. Consequently, I have to take the view that current RC papers are, to say the least, rather good and have a lot going for them .........

I am absolutely sure I must already have lots of relatives in Australia........

I have a friend who only prints RC. I have another friend who says FB is the "real" way to print. It depends on who you ask

rc .. fb .. its all the same ( 6-of 1, half dz of the other )
i used to print hundreds of prints a week, maybe thousands a month on rc paper ..
you have to let go your preconceptions, and just print on it ...

if you don't want to print on it, make paper negatives with it
or lumen prints, or give it to someone who might use it.
i've never used oriental/seagull rc but if it is anything like their fb paper
it can't be that bad ...

Not knowing what FB paper is, and having no experience with it, I can't say that I like one more than the other. However, having recently opened a pack of RC matte paper that was included in an eBay lot, I can definitely say that I highly prefer the matte over the glossy that I have been using.

I have a Kylie Marks living a few doors down; will she do? I'm sure she's worth her weight in paper! I believe Miss Minogue might already be spoken for and, given how petite she is, I'm thinking I might not get much for her.

Alternatively, If I come across any of the Galley family over here, would they be worth much to you in a ransom situation?
