Marc is right about that. Years ago, when first released I bought a Hassy 2000fcm but could only afford the 60mm hassy lens(used). Having a source for Kilfit adapters I was able to use excellent Kilfit lenses and a modified hassy mounting blank for a Nikon 180 f2.5. With the arrival of digital I was able to buy three hassy lenses cheap. Also, with the almost total extinction of photography stores cameras can no longer be handled and fiddled with before purchase. Not just photography stores. The last genuine art supply store in nyc where quality paints brushes and papers were available just closed. The remaining stores are geared towards the "professional", which means unstable and false colors meant to last only until photographed and sent to the printer.

The 28F2 has this beautiful look to it wide open - great for environmental portraits

I'm immune to GAS unless a super deal comes along on my decreasing bucket list cameras. In the last 2 months, it was a Contax RTSlll with a Zeiss 50f1.7 for $100 and a Hasselblad SWC from a trusted member here on APUG for a trade. Pretty much the only camera left that intrigues me that I haven't owned is a Rolleiflex 66SL.

I'm pretty much hopeless. I can't resist a good deal, especially if it is an item that will fill a hole in my collection. Although I hesitate to call it a collection because I consider myself to be a user and not a collector. But for lack of a better term . . .

Just last week I bought a Tamron SP 28-135mm with Nikon Adaptall-2 mount attached for about the going price of the mount. It filled a hole, but it wasn't a lens I particularly needed. Still, I couldn't say no. Not at that price, and not when I had that hole glaring at me.

I've actually sold much more photographic equipment than I have bought in the last twenty years and I find it liberating to do so, the majority of my cameras are now Canon F1's which are my all time favorites.

You know you should never finish your bucket list.
