Last week I brought, thanks to eBay, a box of 10 x 8 Oriental Seagull G4 paper, what a wonderful product.

The only problem is I now only have 96 sheets left.

How does it compare to the new Oriental paper? I assume what you have is dated? I used Oriental paper by the ton when I was in school and beyond, but when it went away I lost faith in that company and haven't tried it since. Is the new Seagull any good? Better? The same?

There's almost nothing greater that finding your ideal paper. I'm loosing forte so I have ordered about six samples to try out, so I'm interested too if this is new Oriental. Thanks.

You got lucky! Out of the five or six times I bought paper on Ebay, most of it was fogged. Sadly, Ekatalure and a box of the old Oriental G3. Old being the operative word, I guess.

It was made a special machine that had a bunch of little guns shooting little silver bullets to coat the paper.

I use to use it as my standard paper cuz Ansel said it was his favorite. Damn fine paper too. When trying to think of a term that would give a person a visual indication. The term lush po(o)ped into my head. If you liked it. I would recommend some of the J&C nuance or kentmere bromide.

I'm switching to Kentmere Bromide once my current stock of Seagull is used up, which won't be long at the rate I'm getting through it.........
