My first thought at the opening scene was "Brrr!" Then I thought, where can I find an assistant, ha, ha. It's time to break out the down jackets here anyway.
Somewhere towards the end he mentions snow shoes. The very first thought that came into my mind when i saw the opening sequence.
A bit later he said something about "hard going" while plowing through the snow, still without.
An afterthought?
I also learned something: I need to try out the way he turns his tripod to get down to the ground as close as possible (at about 60%). That's a good idea.
1. I guess no one told him that square format does not work for landscapes.
2. Look at how much work it is to compose for square format.
3. Was there a second, unseen umbrella to shield the video camera lens?
4. That would imply an unseen assistant, as well.
Seriously, that guy is having enormous fun. I'm envious.
