I really miss the HP5 and Tri-X and Plus-X I used to shoot in the 90's (94-95). The grain was Wooonderful!!! And the tones! Film's intrinsic tones, in those years, was a huge reason for the image's character, success. Nowadays, films are too perfect.

I do miss some other film but what i miss the most are papers. Among them Agfa's.

Agfapan 250 cine stock. I've been holding onto my last 200-150 feet in deep freeze, probably a good time to shoot it this summer. It's tone curve is amazing, and the look is quite old timey/ classic. Competitor to Eastman double x, which I also have about ~ 700 feet left. Though much better than the xx.

I feel quite lucky to still have a fair amount of stock films that people here still wish they made, such as panatomic x, and hie.

Agfa chromes in 35mm and Agfa 25 in 120mm

Just curious, as I've seen a few heremention missing Agfa films and papers. So, has anyone tried the Adoxpapers that are (supposedly) the Agfa remake? Or, I just noticed thistoday, the Rollei/Agfa branded films available at B&H and Iassume others? Not sure how they compare to the APX line, and others,but I noticed the labeling is coincidentally close at "RPX-100"etc.

I was just going to add that I'm down to my last four rolls of Panatomic X and three rolls of Agfa 25. In 120.

I even think the name "Panatomic X" is the best one ever thought up.

I print pretty regularly on MCC 110. It's a really excellent paper. Better, in a way for my tastes anyway, than Agfa MCC in that it's on a brighter white base. I've also tried the MCP 312 pearl, and it's a close match for the old Agfa PE stuff too.

No experience with the films. (The Adox - I do have experience with the old Agfapan black and white, and have three unopened boxes of 4x5 APX 100 in my freezer.)

Films I wish for, I never really appreciated Vericrome Pan. I never thought to stock up on Plux-x 7231 16mm

Another I had fun with on the colour side were the Fast Ekatpress, it think it was 1000 or maybe 3200

EIR - truly the only irreplaceable film. I'd shoot it every day if I could. I have one roll left and I don't know yet what I'm saving it for. I also miss Konica Chrome 100. I have a few rolls of that (branded as Polaroid) that's holding up surprisingly well given its age. I think I'll shoot some tomorrow...

Fresh HIE.

Kodachrome. I ordered ten rolls of K64 and they shipped the day of the announcement by Kodak of its discontinuance. I thought that was pretty ironic. I'd only rediscovered it a few months before but I got 14 rolls shot and processed in Kodachrome's last two years.

Agfapan 100. I discovered it too late and what a delicious film.

I'm sure I'll miss Plus-X but FP4 Plus is such a good film, I'm not going to complain. FP4 has always been my regular medium-speed B&W film but Plus-X always came calling occasionally.

But you know what? We have a lot left. Only this past week I discovered just how delicious Rollei Retro 80S is developed in PMK. I have lots left to discover and have already found a lot of really good stuff.

Kodachrome 64. Hands down.

Fuji Neopan 400 and 1600 - truly remarkable B&W film that was truly distinct.

I miss all the great films which have been discontinued in recent years....even the ones that I never quite "got round to" trying out !

The ones I really miss are the the 3 Kodachromes....and probably, when my freezer is exhausted, the various Ektachromes.
