I finally scanned some negs from my trip to Greece and Turkey. This is an image I shot in Turkey. I shot it on my Olympus XA with Arista 100 EDU processed in HC-110 B.

I got it from the thrift store for 50 cents and was unsure of the camera. I shot a couple of rolls to check on the sharpness and the accuracy of the exposure. Got some good results of the test so I took a chance and brought it with my on my trip. I wasn't disappointed.

Now to go into the darkroom and print the neg on FB silver gelatin paper!

Very nice image! I love both of mine as well. I prefer it over pocket point and shoots most days (unless AF is a must). The lens is very nice, especially stopped down, fits in your pants pocket, real rangefinder, aperture priority with backlight exposure comp and self timer. What's not to love?! Very nice find for 50cents.

Don't blame you for having 2

You have 2? All the XA images have that nice vignetting. Great camera design.

Yeah, I found an extra just waiting to be picked up at an antique store in like new condition. Price was cheap as well so I gambled and bought it (no batteries so couldn't test it). Loved my first 1 so much that I wanted a back up. Works great. I also agree about the camera design and the vignetting. Very nice indeed.

I lost one on a Los Angeles city bus about a year ago. I'm still upset about it.

I bought mine brand new decades ago, along with an A16 flash. It's all still in near pristine shape and works perfectly. Still have the original hard case and sales receipt.

I just wish its viewfinder had diopter correction capabilities. My eyes have now aged worse than the camera. I've even tried external diopter correction lenses, but for some reason the design of the XA finder doesn't seem to play well with them. Probably has to do with the wide-angle nature of the finder.

Fabulous camera, though. The gentle retro-focus vignetting is wonderful to focus attention on a centered subject. Think of it as a built-in auto edge burning feature.
