Yes! i love the texture of the paper, and easy to use. i did 4 prints on ilford multigrage IVFB double weight and agfa multicontrast classic FB. i need to be careful lifting with the tongs. prints are washing right now and they look beautiful. i will use FB for everthing except contact copies and non-special prints. now where to buy that seluilm toner...
I suffer from a very mild form of contact dermatitus and prefer the minor inconvenience of gloves to the rather more major inconvenience of salt-water blisters along the sides of my fingers.
People's tolerance to all forms of chemicals differs quite widely. You may want to play it safe, Marko.
Congratulations on your first fibre prints! May they be the first of many.
As far as chemicals and finger contact is concerned you may want to consider a Nova Quad processor. Prints are handled by Nova grips which avoids contact with the prints. Novas have other benefits as well but I won't go into anymore detail as there are plenty of threads on Novas.
I get my fibre prints mounted when I get them framed... flattening doesn't seem to be terribly necessary.
For portfolio prints, flattening is a great idea.
I love how prints look on fibre paper. I have a few pictures that I've printed on both RC and fibre. For some reason, there is more character in the fibre images. The pictures are visibly different even though the emulsions are essentially identical. I can't quite explain it, but it's undeniably there.
