Recently worked over by Sover, including his resistor ring, brighter led, meter and curtain adjustments, it is stellar! (case by Luigi)

Yes you don't need it, you need a Canon F-1n with 55mm f1.2.

I was just using my F2 today. I don't have any issues with the shutter speed dial being higher than my other manual slr's. I didn't do much photography today due to limited time and the heat. Maybe I will find some indoor things to photograph. With iso 100 film, I will probably do some shots with flash. it will be a good test of the new camera.

Good time to try those extra-long 2sec to 10sec shutter speeds around the self-timer dial and "T".

My F2 family ( 6xF2AS, F2A, F2) were, until the last several years, equipped with either Type E (great for landscapes and architecture) or Type B (great for long lenses). At the suggestion of a fellow Photrio member, I switched all bodies over to Type P or Type R screens - these are really useful when photographing subjects with irregular lines - great general purpose screens.

In my F2AS I use the screen H1, for my F2A the P one...P is very good.

As a owner of both, I must admit the finish of the Canon is superior, it's extremely smooth to operate, has a brighter viewfinder, the lightmeter of the 2AS is however better but yes, if I had to choose between my F2A and the F-1n, I'd keep the latter, the only thing the F2 offers more is the aperture window in the viewfinder.

I keep my Canon F1 in a modified Nikon CH-4 case. Perfect fit, after moving the retaining screw..

My oldest Canon came with a Nikkor 5cm F1.5 lens on it.
