I give up. What size are filters for Kodak Retina IBS, and IIF, etc., with 45mm Xenar?

Manual says a screw-in Kodak Series VI 329A adapter . . . which doesn't screw in. Tried a Series VI 31.5 mm push-on adapter. Too big. Tried a Series V push-on 30mm adapter. Too small. There is no 30.5mm or 31mm. AAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH ! ! !

Sorry. More of a vent than an actual question.

Yes, I had to bend the push-on filters as well. You'll sometimes find they've already been bent by other users in the past.

Bending the tabs on the push-on Series filter adapters is normal and expected, per the original User material. My recollection is that they state plus-or-minus .5mm but I know I've gone down in size more than that.

In case you want to find one, the threaded filter size is 29.5mm. The push-on size is 32mm; those have small tabs that can be bent a little to adjust the fit on the lens.

Thanks. I started to bend the 32mm tabs to fit, and snapped off the first two tabs I tried. And that was being gentle. Might just be a brittle example.

Thanks. I gave the 32mm a try just after I posted, and snapped off two of the tabs, despite being careful. It'll get there, but it's annoying.

I understand how annoying it can be! You probably don't need all of the tabs anyway. For my IIIc I had to intentionally break off a tab to fit a Series adapter as there is a mounting tab on the lens. The tabs can be fickle due to prior bending (work hardening of the metal) and other factors.
