If you just got another d750 problem solved
How about an 850
9 thats a starter set, get a second body or 50.I use my AIS lenses on a variety of Nikon film bodies as well as a D750 d*****l body.
I have now determined that Nikon and the universe only want me to own - at most - 9 AIS lenses ... that's the max of non-CPU lenses the 750 can track.
This seems like a silly limitation.
Looks like those attached with very little or no modification. Which lenses are those?

Good news: it's my understanding that one can't mount non-AI lenses on a D750 (for the usual mechanical reasons). So, you can still accumulate as many non-AI lenses as you want.
I think you can mount and use them - at least most of them. As I recall, you just have to stop down meter them if you want to use the onboard metering system. But I have none of these pre-AI lenses and thus have no way to confirm this will work.

He he, that's pretty slick.
But:
- Where are you getting the chips?
- How exactly do you know where to mount them?
- Do they not have to somehow be programmed with the required lens info? How is this done exactly?
Don't be silly. If you want to use > 9 non-CPU lenses, just edit the non-CPU lens data for any of your 9 favorites to fit the non-CPU lens you want to use. I do that with my D810, which can remember only 4 non-CPU lenses.
I think you can mount some but I had the 2 pre AI lenses 35mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/2 and both will hit the AI coupling and damage it if you insist on mounting. That part of the aperture ring is not needed so if you grind them off then you can mount.
Yes, I am aware that this can be done. But limiting what was a $2000 body when new to only 9 non-CPU entries is ridiculous.
