I don't like Avedon's work

I’ve been following this thread without having anything to say, because Avedon doesn’t really do anything for me - although I’ve never seen his photos in exhibition. But it occurs to me now: didn’t Elliott Erwitt also do a series of “photo-booth” portraits against a white background, but of New Yorkers? They might make an interesting comparison.

I saw some pictures of him with a Mamiya TLR.
