I don't know what the point of these photos is

Clickbait from petapixel.

It's money driven: having more clicks means they can get more money from advertisers: "Look at all the people who visit our site!"
Now I just lost interest.
 
And a very belated observation I reckon is worth making, in this section of Photrio at least, is that the darn things shown are pictures not photographs. Maybe that should be the point grossly illustrated here.
 
It's a social commentary on the relationship between the internet and its associated culture, and the monetization of the destruction of the innocence of youth. The babies represent the infancy of the technology and the teeth represent the aggressive and repressive nature of capitalism. Their smiles suggest a niavete that hides a danger, like a child playing with a gun.

Naw, I'm just kidding. It's funny to look at.
