I agree. Please don't cannibalize any working camera. They may seem cheap and plentiful and unworthy now but soon they will be more rare and "worthy".

Since new ones are not being made we only have the finite supply that exists today and that is dwindling quickly.

But you need them unless you are using wet plate.

My OM-1 is my favorite SLR, it's a great camera body but most of all I love it for the Zuiko lenses.

Well, I went back and it was gone. I'm almost glad, because I really didn't need it. My philosophy about stuff usually is, "If I don't need to have it, I need to not have it." Instead, I picked up a nice 20ft bulb remote release for $1.05 including sales tax. It hooks up real well with the Zeiss 6x6.

How many people have a 20 foot long selfie stick with an 80 megapixel camera?

Love the bulb release. Somehow I have two.

Funny, we're looking for a photographer for a family shoot, but if we can't find anyone we like, I might just take the RZ67 on a tripod and use the bulb release. It'll be funny to see the hose in the photo... at least I think so.

Some hide the hose under a small rug and behind a pants leg.

I've done that, but I think it'll be funny to have it obvious that I'm triggering it. Don't think the wife thinks so.

To the OP -- consider a OM-2 as well, if this OM-1 is not working correctly. The OM-2 is electronic, either all speeds work perfectly or no speeds work perfectly. The OM-2 has a very reliable automatic mode.

For me it's the opposite -- i think the camera is nice but the lenses are not my cup of tea.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not looking to start accumulating Olympus equipment. I'm pretty heavily committed to Minolta MD bodies for 35mm, Mamiya tlr's for serious MF and Zeiss folders for walking around. I just stumbled on this very, very nice one for a really cheap price.
