Has anyone used this feature, and how well does it work: are the steps too fine or too coarse, for example? I know that's a lot of film to burn (from 3 to 5 frames) for a single shot, but it might come in handy. Or is it just a gimmick?

It seemed like the focus bracketing was more for digital where you can do practically unlimited exposures. I did try the "Focus Trap" with a non-autofocus lens and it worked well. I thought it might be useful.

I think I tried it once.. I would say it can be useful for macro work and then loading your files to something like Helicon, to get a macro picture with added depth of field.. but not outside macro where a bit of wind (there is always some when I decide to shoot macro outside…) will blow your subject out of the field of view before the second picture is shot… if not before the first !
