I've read one APUG post and, via the WWW, a page from
Photographer's Formulary covering their HT-2 product; thirty
days and ninety days.

Off hand I can't think of any reason for that mix of silver nitrate
and acetic acid going bad. Anybody any idea? Dan

Dan - I can't think of a reason for that to go bad either, at least not in the time frame you list. It should be good for several years, if not more.

Kodak says that HT-2 should be stored in ...dark... tightly stoppered bottles, so I suspect that it's sensitive to light to some degree. I keep mine in the darkest amber bottle I can find and store it in an enclosed space, away from general room light. I also mix only about 50 ml at a time, since I use it so infrequently. Haven't noticed any problems with it going bad (yet).

Do you mix from scratch? Dan

I did when I made some many years ago. It's easy.
