HP5 is amazing. Stand dev @6400

Nice work! The biggest challenge for me with non-standing development for photos like these night shot is taming contrast.

Hi!

Thank you!!! I didn't work a lot on the pics ... I mean, I did more or less what you recommend ... Well , you'd use the tone curve and I used the black, white and contrast sliders to get more or less the same. I think. But I'll try.

Thanks again!
Cheers

Hello!

I want to share with you the results of my first stand development with HP5@6400.
I'm very interested in your experiences with this way of developing.Antonio

HP5@6400 is not the best way of showing these wonderful dancers. Why not use a more standard film and development? The subject is more important than the photographic process.

They’re similar, but not the same. The contrast sliders for the zones affects the zone more than anything else, whereas the tone curve is a much smoother and fine-grained way to expand the contrast and roll off the whites and blacks.

These latest scenes with Tri-X at 3200 are excellent but the key question for pure analoguers like myself is what will the sarkroom prints from an enlarger look like.

Once you have your darkroom up and running, Gimenosaiz I look forward to scans which replicate the prints.

The next step in this test is trying to print one of these photos! I hope to do it soon. I need to rearrange my darkroom these days.
In the meantime could you please make photos of those negatives with dancers. Would like to see how they look after stand development.
