I recently dropped and chipped my polarizer so need to buy a new one. The one in the title appeals to me, but as I only shoot film could someone please tell me what the difference is between a polarizer built specifically for digital cameras and one that's not . Basically, despite having digital in its name would this still work with film cameras?
Thanks

Most likely no difference whatsoever. It is marketing - similar to "digital" tripods. Although if it reflects the fact that the product was introduced after digital became mainstream, you at least know that it is a recent product.
The "circular" part may matter, because circular polarizers are compatible with more auto-focus systems than linear polarizers are.
Even if your film camera doesn't offer auto-focus you may still need a circular polarizer, because some metering systems that use beam splitters also require circular polarizers.

Thank you for your reply, the 'marketing' angle makes sense. Have never seen the term digital tripod before but it made me laugh. Going to look for a digital camera strap now, and possibly a digital lens cap too
