The last time I took the 4x5 out I suspected the QL holder was held a little loose. It was. the transparencies came back and showed light leaks.

Is it possible to tighten up the springs on the universal back or do I need to buy a new universal back?

I had a graflok back that had loose spring tension. I could not adjust the springs but I found that I could bend the arm slighty to increase the tension. Worked perfectly.
