Hi.
I recently killed my pentax 6x7. Since I can get a really cheap 67 body somewhere I won't bother repairing the broken 6x7 just yet.
The issue here though is that the cheap 67 body I can get has a NPC polaroid back installed on it. And the original back is gone.

I figured, well I just buy it without the polaroid back and install the normal back on it, which I simply take of my old pentax 6x7....
But looking at it, it doesn't seem to be that removable at all...

is it possible to do the thing I want:

remove the back from my 6x7, install it on the 67 and be a happy photographer again??

hope someone can elaborate on this matter.)
Thanks anyway. Best regards SAM

I just browsed through the PDF print of the manual and it says nothing about it. When looking at the camera it looks like you have to draw out the pin in the hinge. You may need a hammer and thin nail or something to push it out so far you can grab it with a plyer of some sort. that was the easy part since you would have to push it into the new body and the back. Since it is thin it would probably bend so find a camera repairman.

looking through the manual I saw this

Operational precautions
Dropping or banging the camera against stationary objects can damage the camera in many ways
They even state something about the camera not being waterproof :surprised:

Anyway, I hope you get it repaired somehow so you can get out shooting again.

Are you interested in selling the Polaroid back and, if so, what condition is it in?

So have you installed the ordinary back or door or ..?
I have seen a couple for sale cheap and have avoided them but now I might just get a backup body for spares.
Cheers
