How to Remove Tank off Jobo Lift?

Jobo manual says, hold the end of the tank, pull it up toward the front. But since most tanks/drums sit in the lower slot, the middle nipple blocks any movement of the tanks/drums. So how do you do it?

Tip the tank bottom up.

Clarification if needed. By bottom he means the end furthest from the lift.
All the 3000 tanks fit in the top hole.

Hold the end of the tank furthest from the lift (with rotation stopped!). Lift up until the cog detaches from the spring clip. Yes, it is loud. If you watch how the tank seats when you put it on, you will see how the process works.

As I said, with the 15xx and 2xxx tanks in the lower slot, the middle nipple prevents you from lifting up the tank.

I've just been to have a look at my Job CPE2 with lift, which I use with a 1500 tank. I haven't previously experienced the problem mentioned here, but I can see that there would be a problem if I tried to lift the tank UP. I lift the tank TOWARDS ME horizontally and then up once it's clear of the unit.

Yes, this makes sense. I figure Jobo wants us to move the tank in something like 45 degree if you see from the side. So it is inside and upside, at an angle.

The manual is badly written.....

I lift the tank bottom - up "pivoting" on the cog so to speak. The tank will detach without any strange noise. When I put the tank on the lift, I put it at a 45° angle up and then set it down again "pivoting" on the cog. It gracefully "clips" in place without any noise.

During operation I raise and lower the lift at the end of each inversion, when the cog speed is low. This avoids stress on the cogs, as testified by the gentle noise instead of the frightening scratch I would otherwise have. That for all baths except the first developement: with first development I just lift the lift and empty the tank when the alarm rings, regardless of the inversion phase.
