This two volume pair " Amateur Telescope Making Volume one 1957 " and it's sequel " Amateur Telescope Making Advanced 1937 " by Scientific American.

These books will give you all the information on how to grind and polish glass lenses... This is useful information in case you would attemt to restore a scratched or broken lens ...These books are on Telescopes but all information would apply directly to grinding and polishing a camera lens as well....

A lot of interesting old pictures and machines ....Mostley geared for the amatuer and how to do it in your basement...

Hey there kawasakiguy37. Sorry to have snatched them away on you! Good news is, they are well worth whatever you pay for them elsewhere. Truly one of the most concentrated stores of technological delight ever published. Reading them is damn near as thrilling as a good novel. There are quite a few copies for sale on abebooks.com, if it helps to ease the hurt of missing them here.

If I ever get out to Cali on my H1 or S1 I will look you up!
