How to make DX Code for Film used in Leica Mini II , Is it a print after all ?

I have Leica Mini II and 50 ASA film rolls in 100 ASA DX Coded canisters. I need to convert these canisters in to 25 asa with DIY DX Codes.

I need to learn

- Where to find prepress files of these 25 ASA DX Codes ?

- Is inkjet or laser printing enough ?

- How to know it is working ?

Umut, modify the DX code with electrical tape and or improvise new ones using cheap aluminum duct tape and electrical tape. Match up the location of the pattern on another cassette (eg kodak, fuji) you already have.

Many cameras only interpret the ISO speed. It's easy to make them and works well.

Adjusting Latitude and the DIY DX Code , result changes with it

The instructables site gives 50 to 3200 ASA codes in pdf form but no 25 ASA.

I used java page and it created 25 ASA set. But it asks latitude to set -1/+3 to +-1/2. Which latitude to select , I dont know.

And I could not cut and paste the DX Code Final Image but may be I can work from the available dx code.

For 25 ASA , -1/+3 , Final design is T and I, TI

Fotoimpex work with lump-sum shipping costs for all their shipments.

Outside the EU they ask a base of 20€ + 2-4€/kg. That would be 22€ in your case.
Those stickers could be sent as letter. Maybe in this case they would sent at actual cost.

(A 5 kg small-parcel to Turkey costs 29€ at DHL. In that case Fotoimpex would be even cheaper as they include an insurance.)

-1/+3 is probably latitude for negative film, while +-1/2 is for films with narrow latitude such as slide film. Hope this helps.

You can get to wikipedia? The 25 ISO code is shown. Almost no point and shoot cameras use the latitude reading. All they use is the ISO speed data. Just encode that using the metallic tape and you should be fine. Aluminum, copper or any metal tape. All that is required is electrical conductivity.

You can scratch off paint to alter the DX speed. And as noted above, tape to do the opposite. Some conversions are easy, some get quite messy if a few "digits" need to be altered.

Whoa there Umut! I was checking the manual for how to do exposure compensation and I saw something relevant...

Use the 50 coding, because your Leica Mini II will shoot the film at 100 if you encode the DX as 25.

As for DX coding, that was a terrible idea. But a great way to fill up landfills with useless cameras that should have never been invented.

All excellent ideas , Bill you saved me from big trouble , I would pay lots of money to these folks for 25 ASA DX code or I would work hard to make DIY 25 ASA codes for films and than I would never understand why my results looks like crap.

Good news , my friend said it is possible to go down 100 to 50 with Leica Mini 2 mode action.

I also read that that developer needs 32 ASA film and there is no difference between 25 or 50 use, so no DX code trouble needed.
Its summer time and no need to fast films.
