Excellent... so now I know all are dry plate holders. Are the Russian holders specific to the FKD 18cm x 24cm camera and won't fit any other camera without modification?

Probably, and maybe. Because each company made their holders for specific cameras you never know until you try. Cameras were usually sold with 3 DDS (so 6 exposures) and if you wanted more they matched the holders to your back

It really is a can of worms, however that doesn't mean these holders won't sell, People buy and try and if no good store or sell on.

I need 18x24 holders for a German Reis-kamera I have but in the end figured I'm better off making a new 10x8 back to use my existing 10x8 DDS, I'd still like to find holders that fit though.

I hate listing them for sale with no idea what they fit but I guess that's what I'll do. I appreciate everyone's help and advice. :smile:
