How to get slides out of Airequipt slide frames?

Finally after years I'm going through my dad's slides. I have about six Airequipt magazines of slides. I'm looking for an easy way to get the slides out of the slide frames so I can use a modern projector to go through them. I did remove one magazine of slides from their frames, but it involved poking the slide mounting with a pointed stick or pen and that seems like a bad idea. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Been there - done that. I don't think there is any short cut. I did it many years ago and I think I used an Xacto blade for the sharp point that was needed to pry them out
