How to dry cleaned 6-frame strips?

I have a problem; I would need to clean (with WATER) 2 rolls of 6-frame strips of b&w films because somehow they have gone too dirty (dust and stains). I have cleaned before and no problem there...well, actually there is one HUGE problem. When those 6-frame shots dry they "swirl" really tightly...really hard to use afterward for example in scanner etc. Do you have any trick how to keep those strips nice and flat? (Traditional weights used in processing cannot be used since they would destroy those images on the sides on the strips.)

I guess you're talking 35mm here? They all should have perforations along both sides.
Put a fish hook-like thing in it and add enough weight to let it dry uncurled, not too much or the film could tear.

I know what you mean. Using a shallow, narrow, long tray,
tepid soapy water and a soft 1 inch paint brush I cleaned a
few 120 film strips. After a good rinse I layed them out to
dry. They did CURL.

What to do? Well I've not got around to it yet but have
decided to use the blotter stack method; the same I use
for drying FB paper.

I use a blotter stack composed of alternating sheets of
corrugated board and hydrophobic blotter sheets. When the
stack is completed, books or the like are added. Works well
with paper. May do well with film. Dan

no fish hook, try a paper clip. one at the top and one at the opposite end on the bottom.
