How to display 50 3" Square photos?

I have a show happening soon and I'd like to put up 50 3" square photos. I wish I didn't need to drymount them, but there is a slight curl to the paper.

What would you do?

have cheap machine prints made,
plak mount them, with a 2" border ... all 50
then afterwards, sell / use them as coasters.

I would just dry mount them.

I think it'd be neat to put them in a grid. Than again, we don't know what the subject matter is, so that might be completely inappropriate..

I would go with 5x7 or 8x10 frames in the vertical position with weighted bottom mats. Frames in these sizes can be found ridiculously inexpensive and have the mats cut at a frame shop then slap together yourself.

Mounting high street-style small prints to adhesive-faced gatorboard/foamcore would be a good idea as this allows them to be repositioned and reused. Arrange them in a concentric shell-like pattern with the most emotive or most expressive at the centre and groups of like-subjects radiating outwards to the edge of the "shell", a rather interesting and arty installation. Or a circular "mosaic", likewise.

You could dry mount them individually onto a heavy water color paper paper then corner mount them onto whatever mount you decide....or don't use a mount and just hand the mounted photos. Small photos are more approachable, shall photos without glass are even more approachable!

a plak mount is one of those presentation ways you see posters &c
presented at home good stores. almost invisible glazing and black edge.
the image is dry mounted on mdf board and then a uv protective matt glazing is
laminated over it. frame shops can do them .. or i can give you the name if you can't
find someone locally ...

i get a lot of things plak mounted .. it is a simple and easy way
to present things, when archival &c isn't an issue,
and they seem to hold up very well.

steve (sirius glass ) mentioned plak mounting in a thread a handful of years ago
and i have mounted 30 or 70 things that way, 20x20 down to 4x4 ... never had problems

John, thanks. Plak mounting sounds like an updated version of the decoupage print mounting that was popular (with my family anyway) back in the '70s and '80s. We would use a spray adhesive to mount a photo on a painted or decorated piece of MDF or hardwood, and then coat it with the decoupage glue or varnish. The decoupage medium yellows over time. The laminate used with plak mounting may withstand aging a bit better.

yeah, it is kind of decoupage-ee but a bit different.
i remember decoupage-work being on furniture tables &c

Thanks for all the responses. I ended up drymounting them, and then mounting them onto a smaller chunk of foamcore to make them float.

There were three walls where they were hung, and I laid them out in 3 rows.
