I got a canon fd 35-70mm 2.8-3.5 f s.s.c lens off of ebay for $18 knowing it has some fungus. I got the first face plate off and the first lens out but its seems to be on the next lens group deep in the lens. my stopper and friction mat aren't working and there are no holes to use a lens wrench what lubricant if any can I use? Or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cameras and lens are assembled with a thread locker similar to clear nail polish. The thread locker will dissolve with nail polish remover/acetone. Apply a liberal amount of acetone around the edge/threads of the lens cell/group with a cotton swab and let sit for 10 minutes. A second application may be needed.
