How to align a Meopta Opemus 6

Hello everybody. I have a Meopta Opemus 6, but I am having problems with the alignment since the image on the easel is not a perfect rectangle. I would like to know if someone has had this problem and how it was solved.
Adicionally, I have read that there is a device called Versalab Parallel (http://www.versalab.com/server/photo/products/parallel.htm) that looks interesting, even though it is expensive. Can you give me some advice?

At the risk of stating the obvious - have you checked that the rotating head control is in the zero position? There should be a pointer on the head and a scale on the forward-pointing face of the column - to rotate the head, loosen the handwheel on the bracket that runs on the enlarger column.

To carry on from David's question, are you sure the condensers are seated properly? (if it is that kind of head), no problem with the lens mount not seated properly? and no problem caused by the sliders on the negative carrier? Apologies if these are just too obvious.

Funny - my Opemus 6 has been dragged around, dismantled, brought into a public darkroom for a printing class, partially dismantled, carried home, set up, moved, moved again, and used for 30 years - but has never been out of alignment.
