Hello,

I want to have two preset stops: Wide open for focusing and three clicks closed down for exposing the print. The Rodenstock 50mm Apo Rodagon Enlarging Lens I am using has two user setable controls: A) A pull and turn ring B) A switchable on/off deal that turns off/on the click stops.

I have never used those before but I want to try because I am set to make a large number of prints, so how do I set these two switches?

thanks in advance.

Not APOs but my Rodagons may operate the same as yours. The switch is used to alternate between click stops and no click stops.

The ring, if you look closely, has a tiny notch in it. Set the lens at the desired stop, i.e., f8 and lift the ring and rotate the tiny notch to f8. The ring will now rotate between f2.8 and f8.

HTH
