How much for fixing Contax G2 shutter?

Hello, I got an offer for Contax G2 camera only, with shutter problem (dont know details yet, worst case shutter replacement, hopefully it is nothing more serious like damaged electronics etc.).
Price for this camera is cca 100Euro.

Does it make sense to buy it and get it fixed or it will be too expensive?

I'd also pass. My G2 needed repair done to LCD and nobody could provide original parts. Tried many UK repairers, Kyocera in Japan etc..

That's too much money for an old electronic camera that's broken.

ToCad in the USA will repair it (they are the US Kyocera agent for Contax). I think they charge a flat rate of about $170 for most repairs.

Fixing the shutter will likely have you at an end cost right at what many working G2 bodies sell for anyway judging by completed eBay auctions. It's one thing if a camera needs a simple CLA another if it's got a serious electronic shutter issue. Could be indicative of how it was cared for overall and portend future problems or issues. I'd pass.
