How much do you think the new Fuji folder will cost?

I am hoping for a price in the ballpark of $700-800. It's only a mock-up yet, but it does have a lot in common with the earlier Fujis, particularly the GS645. Maybe a lot of the design work is already there, in the form of older models, so the price needn't be high, I hope. But if it is going to cost $1500 I think it would sell, but probably only to baldheaded collectors with big wallets.

I been wanting a small, lightweight medium format. This looks promising but it's gonna have to cost less than a decent used Rolleiflex TLR for me to even consider it. That's between $500 and $700. Lower is better.

Looking at the specs, manual focus fixed lens, rangefinder, metered, I've been thinking it will be priced between £350 to £450, going by what a CV Bessa R3M costs.

Assuming it goes into production, and makes it to the USA, what do you think the street price of the new Fuji folder will be?

The GW680 was $ 1500 15 years ago, now add labor cost inflation, consider additional cost for a folding design + added meter, and need to clearly beat an Ikonta or Bessa in image quality (not mechanical quality). If nobody is willing to pay $ 2000+, this will never make it to market! W

You could be correct, but I hope you are wrong!

Depending on the country it may be sold in, it could be quite expensive or reasonable.

I doubt if it would ever be sold in Australia, this is an extremely expensive country for cameras. The USA would be a different story as it works on far lower margins and higher turnover. Germany is also a cheaper place than my country, I've purchased 3 cameras in Germany two Japanese and one Russian.

When I started this thing, I don't recall the US dollar being on par with the peso, so if it does see the light of day, it could be quite expensive. On the bright side, they could produce it in the USA, and sell it in the EU for like 50 Euro.

I still think it'll be a Japan only item. Low volume and likely sold out on pre-orders.
