How many film do you have in stock?

I manage my supply in a spreadsheet. That way I know what I have and whether it is in the freezer or the fride or out shooting. Grand total is 369 rolls at the moment. What I don't have in the list are the few bulk rolls and what little sheet film I have for pinholing.

It seems that I have 43 different types of film in my list, only two are 'out of stock'.

Interesting that the largest single item are 65 rolls of Provia 400X in 120. The Tri-X of slide. I accumulated those over 2016. I need to find more worthy scenes to use it on. I don't want to waste it, but I don't mind firing away if I think it could be nice and I need the speed for handholding my Rollei. 9 rolls of the 135 version are left. I has surprised me how flexible it can be for a slide film. If you want to straight print colour negative film it isn't that much better than this stuff.

I haven't done a full accounting, but it must be around 300-350 rolls of 120. 118 rolls of that are Acros

I have about 50-60 rolls, some 135-36 and some 135-20, stashed in the freezer and a dozen or so of the Efke IR820.

I flat-out love that stuff and I parse it out very carefully. Rollei IR is nice (actually, it’s very nice) but it ain’t HIE. Nothing is.

I would rather have the local shop see steady numbers in their ledger and keep stocking the stuff locally, instead of having my girlfriend ask me why the freezer is packed with film and the grocery budget is two large sacks of rice for the month...

But I probably have more film sitting in a tin waiting to be developed than I do waiting to be shot with. Really need to get on that some evening this week.

Isn't that the truth... I have a load of leftover out-of-date 35mm C-41 from when I used that format more extensively. Perhaps I should get into Holga / Lomo etc...

About 400 rolls of 120, 35mm, 110 & 127. Plus about 40 packs each of FP100C & FP3000B.

Uh oh... Add another 50, 4X5 sheets of Adox CMS 20 to the pile!

I’ve gotten very nice* results cross-processing outdated C-41 in Rodinal.
It eliminates the issue of color shifts.

*As long as your definition of ‘nice’ includes low contrast and a fair amount of grain.

1+50, 15 minutes @68F for any speed film. Anywhere from box speed to 1 stop under. I use fairly vigorous agitation but it’s a tradeoff: better contrast but bigger grain. I figure the grain’s already kinda huge, might as well flaunt it!
The images can be almost impressionistic when the grain gets up there.

The orange mask makes it very tough to print optically but scanning in color can yield some very interesting results. The Rodinal develops some of the color dyes and the resulting images range from sepia to purple in hue.

I'm currently travelling but I've got a lot - I have a dedicated film fridge in my darkroom that mostly holds film and some discontinued papers. Most everything is stored in the fridge, but the infrared films are stored in the freezer. Off the top of my head I'd say I have about:

150 (120) + 100 (35mm) rolls of Acros, plus 3 boxes of Fuji Acros 4x5 Quickload film (20 sheets per box). Most of the 120 is stored in boxes in the darkroom, no room in the fridge.
30 (120) rolls of various Ilford films (FP4+, SFX, Delta 3200, etc) but not any Hp5+ or Delta 400 since I grabbed all that I could for my current trip
40 (35mm) rolls of various Ilford films, mostly HP5+, Delta 400 and Delta 100
20 (120) rolls of Tri-X that I am reluctant to shoot, plus about 30 (35mm) rolls that I have no problems shooting
10 (120) rolls of Rollei Retro 400s, and about 5 (120) each of 80s and Infrared, plus the same in 35mm
20 (120) rolls of Efke IR (Aura) film, plus a box of 4x5 film
10 (35mm) rolls of Kodak HIE (and some 120 rolls of it that I bought respooled but they are all garbage)

I'm hoping to shoot more of the (old) infrared this year - it's not aging well. With my HIE some rolls come out black (but still usable, if grainy and low contrast), and others come out halfway decent (only slightly fogged rebate). I haven't shot the Efke in a while and really I should figure out if it's worth shooting because I need to clear out some space in my freezer. The last time I shot the Konica it came out beautifully, so there's still hope that it'll last a while longer, even though it's older than all my other (expired) infrared films. I also have a couple of ideas for the peel apart films, but I just need the time to execute them properly. Even though I used to shoot chromes almost exclusively, now they are relegated to about 5% of my film shooting. That said, I'd like to come up with a project to shoot what I have left, because who knows how long I'll be able to get them processed commercially in Japan. Once Fuji leaves the film market for good, that may be the end of somewhat readily available film/chemicals/processing here in Japan. I've recently noticed that BIC camera has gotten rid of all its film and paper (in stores), and my local Yodobashi has reduced its offerings by about 50% in the last couple of years (although everything is still available online).

About 80 all 35mm mostly Fuji Realaa Pro 160 Kodak Portra,and Ektar.

I plan on adding some new Acros to the freezer in March (even though I've got almost 100 120 rolls of the old stuff), and probably some Ferrania P30, whenever it's made available to us. Then I'll stop. I promise...unless someone comes out with a real IR film.
