Bradley:

A clear case for hand colouring!

I know what you mean about the "not an iota of colo(u)r", although here at sea level, there is no snow.

These days, 90% of my work is B&W but several years ago it was 50/50. In the early 1980's I carried two cameras (Pentax LX), one loaded with Tri-X and the other with Kodachrome. Later iI became fixated on the idea of one camera body with interchangeable lenses (a Rollei 3003) - I still use it when I intend on shooting both color and B&W.

I'm along with most In this thread, I would put it at about 99 percent BW. The last time I shot color was in Alaska in 2012 and still have the 3 rolls of slide film in the fridge.

I feel color gives too much information to the viewer and doesn't allow the viewer to user their imagination. It is like reading a good book and you become part of it vs looking at a picture book, your imagination doesn't go wild.

Black and white are the colours of photography

I like the additional layer of abstraction that b+w provides.

Me too! I do like to try the occasional bit of colour though.

Two bodies.. Always one of my Rolleiflex's, and a 35mm body. Leica, QL17 or my FE.
