..... and no longer have?

We've got the thread on how many cameras you have now, and how many more your want.

Now let's count the number of cameras you've had but have sold off/ traded / tossed.

For me, there were a couple of 110 and 126 cameras, then the Pentax K1000, which got upgraded to an MX. Then an ME Super was added. And I sold it all (cameras and 11 lenses) lock, stock & barrel in 1998.

I also used to shoot with a Mamiya 645 and RB67, and sold them off back in 1983.

The only camera I´ve ever sold was an EOS Rebel Ti after I realized that automated 35mm was just not for me...

Over the past 50 or so years, so many I lost count, to be sure F, F2, F3, Nikormate, FG, FA, Omegaflex, Konica T, Maymiya C 33, Leica IIIG, and F, Canon P and 7s, more than a dozen point and shoot, fixed lens rangfinders, M 42 bodies, God only knows what else.

I don't miss the bodies, I miss the lens like the Konica 1.2 55mm, or Nikon F 2 105.

There's no way I could count. I bought and sold fast and hard on eBay 12-15 years ago... not so much these days. I could only guess but I've definitely had several hundred or maybe a thousand pass through my hands.

I've sold a lot on Ebay and a few on Craigslist too. I have no idea how many cameras I have flipped.

There's no way for me to know for sure but I'd say about 25 or 30 that I no longer have. About 7 of those were ones that I got from KEH, had issues, and were returned or exchanged. They have a good return policy but I really think they're "checking and inspecting the camera" doesn't involve much.

Plenty, and I still have too many. The only cameras I miss are a very low number plain prism F that was in as-new condition, and I liked the Mamiya C330 sold when I needed the cash. End of the day they're just cameras, the photographs they take are the important thing. I'd liked to know what happened to my parent's Coronet box camera that took the family photos. Probably got junked when someone cleared the house.

Kodak Bullet by Narsuitus, on Flickr

I tend to keep my cameras until they need to be replaced. In fact, I still have the first camera I every used -- a Kodak Bullet.

Over the decades, I have sold and/or replaced the following:

Brownie (3) (sold after purchase of first 35mm SLR)
Diana (sold after purchase of first 35mm SLR; it latter became a popular cult camera)
Graflex 4X5 view camera with 135mm lens (sold to raise money)
Kodak Instamatic 104 (sold after purchase of first 35mm SLR)
Mamiya Universal 6X7 with lens (two) (replaced by medium format rangefinder)
Mamiya-Sekor C2 TLR camera body (replaced by medium format rangefinder)
Mamiya-Sekor C22 TLR camera body (replaced by medium format rangefinder)
Mamiya-Sekor C220 TLR camera body (replaced by medium format rangefinder)
Miranda Sensorex 35mm SLR body (broke too many times)
Nikon EM, Black 35mm Body (replaced my disposable backup body with Nikon N70)
Nikon F Black 35mm Body (replaced by F2)
Nikon F Chrome 35mm Body (replaced by F2)
Nikon F2 Chrome 35mm Body (replaced worn body with new F2)
Nikon F2T Black Titanium 35mm Body (sold two for profit to collector)
Nikon F3 35mm Body (replaced with Nikon F4)
Pentax Spotmatic (sold 1 of 4 to raise money)
Polaroid Portrait Big Shot (sold after Polaroid went bankrupt)
Polaroid Square Shooter (sold after Polaroid went bankrupt)
Polaroid Square Shooter 2 (sold after Polaroid went bankrupt)

To the best of my recollection, over the last few years:

I have sold: a Nikon F2A, an F2 and an F5.
I have given away to APUGers: an Nikon F4E and a F3HP.
I gave away to a colleague who preferred my F3HP over the AE-1 she was given, an F3HP w/50mm F1.4 Ai lens.
I have given away to my three nephews and niece: a Nikon F3HP, an F3, an F5, an F2AS, an F2A, two F2 Photomics and an assortment of lenses.
I sold a Hasselblad 553EL/X (but then bought a 500C/M to replace it).
