Film: extended version of the Ilford wash sequence. One quick fill and dump, then 10, 20 and 30 inversions.

FB paper (after 1 - 1.5 min in strong fix) : 5 min quick rinse with a couple of changes of water; 5-10 min in sodium sulphite wash aid; 30-45 min wash with at least 6 changes of water and regular agitation.

I would really like a proper print washer but a combination of sink and trays in my bath tub will do for now.

This like many polls doesn't give enough options.

Hype clear + 10 minutes. That's with difficult films like TMY-2 but less time with films that clear faster. This all depends...

I wash films for 20 to 30 minutes and RC prints for 5 to 10 minutes, both in running water.

film RC and paper are different

but it is simple wash for longer than manufacturers datasheet calls out for the temperature you have

if you use hypo clear use the instructions for hypo clear

why do we need a poll

Films : 10 changes of still water for 3 minutes each = 30 minutes in total.

RC Papers : 8-10 minutes in running water with constant agitation of the prints (or contact-sheets to be more precise).

With Tri-X, which is basically all I shoot, I wash for 45 minutes to get most of the purple out.

W/ fiber prints it's an hour.

About 30 minutes by tank inversion for film and 1 hour minimum in an archival washer for prints.

45minutes! To get the purple out? This seems excessive... Have you tried a hypo clearing agent? I find the purple comes out within 6 minutes of washing properly after 2 minutes of hypo-clear.

Film:
I shoot TMY-2 so fix time is usually 6 minutes. This includes a midpoint inspection for clearing time.
1st wash for 2 minutes
2 minutes in home brewed HCA.
3-4 minutes final wash. This usually guarantees complete removal of the dye layer.

Paper:
I print fiber base only and use a two bath fixer program. The finished prints are held in a water bath which is changed several times during the session.

First wash is for 5 minutes.
Then imersed in home brewed HCA for 5 minutes.
Second wash is for 15 minutes.

It depends. Two minutes for RC paper in acid fixer; 15 minutes for film in alkaline fixer.

Incidentally "hypo" is sodium thiosulfate fixer, not hypo clearing agent like you probably thought it meant. If you use "no hypo" then you didn't fix your film or paper!

FB Paper is longer

To echo from other.. FB paper is sometime nearly 20 min in some cases.
