Sounds like you have been talking to someone from Calgary. :whistling:

I used to have a girlfriend in Calgary that grew up in Edmonton and she told me that.

I’m always amused by “experts” on weather, climate, culture, traffic, and economics on places they’ve never lived.

In my area, southeastern Montana, it is very rare to see darkroom equipment for sale. I think that ship sailed a while ago. There is an Omega B22 enlarger for sale in Missoula for $100, a 5-6 hour drive from here but even that is rare. A few years ago a friend had someone give him a 4x5 enlarger so there are those rare encounters.

Here too, that ship sailed out of the train station and capsized on the first rail curve ending belly up with the steam bubbling through the water.

Sirius, don't believe everything you read on the internet. Edmonton's average October temperature during the day is in the 50sF.....(11C). Just like Florida swampland.....we'll give you a heck of a real estate deal on some new igloos.
living in Florida in October... 50's would be a much appreciated... and might happen, in my dreams! 😆

To answer the title question literally, I spent a bulk of the day in my darkroom and it’s 59 degrees in there. Yes, I have to warm solutions up a bit but I’m good with the room temperature. After all, it 3 degrees F outside right now and didn’t feel that bad when I was walking downtown at our quarterly art walK and hour or so a go. Tomorrow morning is supposed to warm up to 18 degrees F when I meet some friends for a 6 mile run.

it is -28 degrees Celsius here in Tuktoyaktuk NWT Canada.
I contacted Ilford for developing times for HP5 at such temperatures!
They say if i develop the film today it should be fully developed by next spring.
They added; don't push it!

In Michigan's Upper Peninsula it's said that there is winter and two weeks of bad sledding. That seems to coincide with the Midge flies or the black flies.
