I've bought a couple on ebay & they seem to be fine, but I haven't used them yet.

I have a few of these in 52mm size, LZOS if I remember well. I use them with my Helios 58mm & EF 50mm f/1.8, I haven't had any problems so far.

Well, should they be less than their lenses?

The KMZ ones I got are not coated (if I remember right), but 90% of all my non soviet filters are not coated either.

I thought ALL filters of the modern era, except old Vivitars, were at least single-coated.

Do you consider me modern...?
I buy my filters out of the rummage box.

But yes, my filters are from a period when lenses had been coated already for decades

I wonder if the old Arsenal filters are that awful??

Puzzling. But a incidental result does not make a test.

(The author uses a per definition not spectrally neutral filter and is surprised by a color cast.)

I have never had a Russian that I needed to filter.
