How does analog photography fit into the modern lifestyle

Actually I was referring to my personal work.. its based on consumerism and things we easily throw away.

This may interest you if you don't his work. He uses photoshop to build his images from his photographs. His work illustrates the massive problems caused by over consumption of world resources.

Click the images once and wait for it to zoom in (some of them).

I have been following Chris Jordan for years. In fact some of his posts about LAB got me on that kick. Wonderful concept and massive work to create.

I am about to get over 100 toys from one of three major toy manufactures to do still life and solarize, one of the VP's who started the company, is going to spend a few days with me making the images.

Can't wait.

good question.carefully prepared analog photography takes more time than digital and moreover, digital can be done in small dis continiouschunks where analog pretty much requires to dedicate larger chunks of time to it.On the other hand, well-crafted digital can be very time consuming as well.good things take time but are worth it.

+1

The time is therapeutic too.

I find it more soporific than therapeutic

Nevertheless, I have a policy to not have any heavy or sharp objects near the computer screen. This has saved me thousands$$ so far;man this stupid machine can get me upset sometimes and I refuse to be told what to do by a bunch of brainless electronic circuits:crazy:
