For the group exchanges I usually send everyone the same image, and I'll usually print up something new. Occasionally, if I'm pressed for time, I'll send out prints from the files, if there are enough of the same one to go around. If I'm doing two exchanges in close proximity to each other, I'll see if there's any overlap in the groups, and if not, I might print one image for both groups.
I make a 24x30cm FB - archivally processed - print that has not been printed before or has been made specially for the exchange. I send everyone the same image.
This will be only my secound group exchange and first blind exchange. I'll pick an image, print till I get it right (in my eyes). Then I'll print enough good copies to send out to everyone in my group and one for me, same as last time. Then I'll pick another image for the blind exchange and work on that.
This group exchange may get the same picture as the previous one - I found a great match between image and paper and used up my remaining stock. So I have a little reserve of the "black print", which I may send until all are gone...
This is my first group exchange and second blind exchange. I selected one image for the group and another for the blind.
I must admit that I'm just a bit nervous that the images I'm sending out won't be "good enough". That's strange when you consider that I've been selling images for about 30 years!
My wife is almost more excited than I am about the print exchanges. She can't get over the wonderful sense of community that we have here...
