How do I load a Polaroid 100 back????

I just bought my first polaroid film for a Polaroid 100 back that I got a while ago. I got Polaroid 690 film which seems to be the right kind.

So far so good. However, I cannot figure out how to correctly load this thing. I put the film pack in the latch with the film surface facing the glass. Now what do I do? I know I'm not supposed to feed the leader through the rollers but what do I do with it? Do I fold it back? Do I fold it under?

Can anyone help me with this? I did a few google searches and downloaded a couple of manuals but none of them are very helpful.

Check the Polaroid website. There are lots of good manuals and instruction pages there. This should be the one you need--

Normally with Polaroid pack film you just insert the film and the white tabs should just lay flat and you close the back. You pull the darkslide tab and white tab #1 should be out.

I already downloaded that manual but it didn't help much. Also downloaded the PolaPlus manual from hasselblad historical. Again, wasn't very helpful.

What I do not understand is this: After I insert the film pack what do I do? Where does the black leader go? If I just close the back the leader just gets stuck.

Just lay the white tabs flat and the black leader over it so that it sticks out. It takes a little force to pull the darkslide tab. You're probably just not pulling hard enough.

There will be some resitance as you pull the leader out.

Where is the black leader supposed to stick out? Does it have to stick out from the little opening where the rollers are? Currently it's sticking out of the regular magazine opening with the wire latch over it. I just can't believe that this is right like that.

Ha! Just figured it out! It was exactly like you guys said. It was just the resistence that got me wondering.
